Good questions

About this finish.

Is French Gray real solid, or a film?

It is a premium self-adhesive architectural film that reproduces the look — and, in the embossed ranges, the texture — of the material. Nothing is ripped out: the film is applied over your existing joinery, doors, panelling, counters or fixtures in situ, for up to 70% less than replacing the same surfaces.

Can I see a French Gray sample before I commit?

Yes, and we would rather you did. We bring loose swatches and sample boards to you, or post them to your studio if you are specifying remotely, so the finish is judged against your own surfaces and your own light before anything is priced. Where a published specification matters, the manufacturer's data sheet is available on request.

How durable is it, and how do I clean it?

This finish is warrantied by its manufacturer against cracking, peeling and fade for up to 5 years, with our workmanship cover in writing alongside. Day to day it is wipe-clean — a damp cloth and a mild household cleaner, no abrasive pads or scouring creams.

Where can French Gray be applied?

This finish is rated for interior use. We wrap kitchen doors and drawer fronts, cupboards and carcasses, counters and splashbacks, wardrobes and built-ins, doors and wall panelling, reception fronts, lift interiors and retail fixtures — all in situ, on their existing hinges and in their existing layout. We will tell you plainly what your particular surface can expect before you decide.
