One Wall Decides How the
Whole Room Reads.

Every living room has a wall the rest of it answers to — behind the sofa, or behind the screen. Wrapt Interiors™ re-skins that wall in premium architectural film: stone, timber grain, linen weave or a deep solid, applied over the panelling and built-in joinery you already have.

In situ, in days rather than the weeks a renovation takes, for up to 70% less than replacing the same elements — and wipe-clean afterwards, which is more than the wall a family leans on can ask of paper.

Ideas by room

Five ways a living room changes without a rebuild.

Nothing is torn out. The wall, the moulding, the joinery and the furniture stay exactly where they are — only the surface changes.

01

The Wall Behind the Sofa

The room already points at it. A deep or textured film panel set inside crisp moulding turns that wall into a deliberate frame rather than an empty backdrop — and because the film goes on in situ, the sofa is back against it the same week.

02

The TV Wall

A screen dominates a wall when the wall has nothing to say. Run one calm, continuous finish across it — a dark timber grain, a honed stone — and the television reads as part of the furniture instead of the loudest object in the room.

03

The Framed Insert

Patterned or textured film set inside painted picture-frame moulding gives you the depth of a papered panel in a surface you can wipe with a damp cloth. It is the finish for the wall a family actually leans on, where paper would not last the year.

04

Built-Ins & Freestanding Furniture

Shelving fronts, media units and built-in cabinetry wrapped to match the wall so the joinery disappears into it — or deliberately against it. Freestanding pieces come too: a dated TV console, a sideboard, a coffee-table top renewed in the same film. Each piece is assessed at the measure-up, and a horizontal top asks the same sense as any other — a coaster, a board, a mild cleaner.

05

Getting the Scale Right

Veining rewards a generous wall — a marble that looks restrained across three metres can look busy on a narrow return. Strong pattern on a small panel always arrives louder than it did in the swatch. We walk the room and say which finish your wall is actually big enough for.

Choosing the family

Which finish family suits a living room.

Four of the five families do most of the work in this room. The difference between them is what you want the wall to do once the furniture is back.

Stone for calm at scale. Marble, travertine and poured concrete are the family that rewards a generous wall: veining needs room to run before it reads as stone rather than as pattern. Whole feature walls are finished in situ, with no templating and no tear-out — which is how a slab you could not justify becomes a wall you can.

Wood for warmth and direction. Oak, walnut and ash carry a living room the way timber panelling always has, and the embossed ranges hold the grain as texture under the hand rather than as a printed picture. Run the grain vertically to lift a low ceiling, horizontally to settle a long wall.

Textile for softness that wipes clean. Linen weaves, fine fabric grains and leather effects give the room warmth without upholstery, and one continuous finish can run across wall panelling, a media unit and a door — then be wiped clean afterwards, which upholstery cannot be.

Solids for a modern line. Deep inks, charcoals and warm off-whites in matte, satin or soft-touch put the wall and the joinery into a single uninterrupted tone, with no visible joints and no paint fumes in a room you are living in that evening.

Good questions

What owners ask about a feature wall.

Can we wrap just one wall?

Yes — and in a living room that is usually the right answer. An accent wall works precisely because the walls around it stay quiet, so film and paint are natural partners: we wrap the feature wall, the panelling or the built-in joinery, and the rest of the room keeps its paint. You can start with the wall behind the sofa and bring the joinery onto the same finish later.

Do you build the panelling and the moulding?

The wrapping is ours; new moulding and panelling are built by trusted partners we work with. If your frames are already on the wall, Wrapt Interiors™ wraps them face and edge. If they are not yet built, we arrange the framing through our partners and finish it once it is up — one programme, agreed at the survey.

How do I look after a wrapped feature wall?

A damp cloth and a mild household cleaner — no abrasive pads or scouring creams. That is the whole regime. These are premium architectural films from the world's leading film brands, warrantied by their manufacturers against cracking, peeling and fade for up to 10 years, and the manufacturer's data sheet for the film on your wall is available on request.

How do we choose the finish?

In the room, not on a screen. We bring the film brands’ sample books to the measure-up and hold the shortlist against your own wall in your own light — a stone that reads cool at nine in the morning is a different stone by late afternoon. The visit ends with the choice settled, and the exact film reference is named on your written, itemised quote.
